NDE - Near Death Experience

Near Death Experiences have been reportet through all known human history. With the progress of modern medicine and it's reanimation techniques they have become a frequent occurrence allowing for in depth exploration of this phenomenon in the past decades. Starting with Raymond Moody who pioneered this research with his 1975 book 'Life After Life' many scientists have looked from different angles at it and we have by now a wide body of literature on the topic. 

It shows that the human spirit has verified perceptions and activities after it has left the body and while the brain entirely out of function - one of the best monitored cases being the NDE of Pamela Reynolds.

Beyond that these investigations have yielded a great wealth of information on the world beyond our physical existence. The most significant finding has been, that although every case is very unique between individuals and across cultures, core elements of the experience are identical, clearlly showing the validity of the experiences.
